I made this whip from 50 half-fold, medium-thick, hard cowhide fibers. The "effective length" of the leather fibers is about 50 cm. The handle was formed by inserting a 22 cm long, 1 cm diameter wood between the leather fibers for proper hold, then wrapping the whole with soft leather and covering it with a soft leather strap. The handle has a total length of about 20 cm. I put a 3 cm wide welded D-ring around the center of the leather strips, which can be handy during use and makes storage easier. The handle is made of 50 semi-folded, medium-thick and stiff cowhide fibres. I cut half of it from red leather and the other half from black leather. The "useful length" of the leather fibres is about 50 cm. I made the handle by tying the corresponding part of the leather fibres tightly together, then covered it with soft leather and wrapped it with a leather strap. The total length of the handle is about 20 cm. I added a 3 cm wide welded half-ring to the middle of the leather strips, which can be handy for use and also makes storage easier.
